The NCCU Purchasing Department was relocated from the third floor of the Hoey Administration Building, where it had been located for almost 40 years, to the Cooke House during the summer of 2011. The Cooke House had been a private residence until it was purchased by NCCU. The structure was completely renovated and now houses seven offices, a conference room, and a training facility and storage rooms in the basement.
