- National Cybersecurity Month (2025)North Carolina Central University proudly joins the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month campaign to promote safer online habits and strengthen our campus-wide security. The national theme for 2024–2025 is “Secure Our World," reminding us that even small, everyday actions can make a big difference in protecting our digital lives. National Cybersecurity Awareness Month aims to empower every American to strengthen cybersecurity practices both at home and in the workplace, helping build a more resilient nation against evolving cyber threats.
- Jazz Combo I "Three-peat"For the third year in a row, NCCU's Jazz Combo I has won the Monterey Jazz Festival's "HBCU Combo Challenge." As winners of the competition, the combo flew out to perform at the 68th Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, CA. The combo played an outdoor concert at a California winery, two concerts on two different festival stages and participated in a jam session with students from Texas Southern University over the September 26–28 weekend. They also participated in a workshop conducted by festival performer and veteran pianist Sullivan Fortner.
